About Sea Kayaking
Historically, sea kayaking has roots in the indigenous kayak designs of the Arctic, used for hunting and travel. Today, it has evolved into a recreational and professional pursuit, including adventure travel, guiding, and safety-focused water training.

Modern sea kayaking emphasizes paddling technique, navigation, self- and companion-rescue skills, and environmental stewardship. Instructors teach how to handle changing water conditions, read currents and weather, and move efficiently, making it both a challenging and rewarding outdoor experience.

Sea Kayaking: Beginning – If you’re new to sea kayaking or want to solidify the basics, this is your starting point. You’ll learn essential paddling techniques, how to launch and land safely, basic navigation, self- and companion-rescue skills, and how to move efficiently on the water. No prior experience required.

Sea Kayaking: Multi-Day – Take your skills further with a multi-day paddling adventure. This course emphasizes trip planning, navigation, group dynamics, and decision-making on extended journeys. You’ll refine your paddling systems, practice camp setup on shore, and develop the confidence to lead and manage a small group on multi-day excursions.
