HOW TO REGISTER
Application Process
If you're a new student, begin by applying to Lake Tahoe Community College HERE. Upon creating your account, proceed with the college application. Your application typically takes approximately 24 hours to process. You'll receive an email confirming the submission of your application. Additionally, within 24 hours, you'll receive a second email containing your username and password for the Portal. Please ensure to check your spam folder in case these emails are redirected there.
After the application process you will now be able to login into your student portal using your username and password HERE.
Course Registration
Navigating The Course Catalog
Within the student portal, locate the "Self-Serve Quick Links" on the left-hand side and select "Register from Course Catalog."
Utilize the "Filter Results" section on the right side of the page to refine your search based on subject, term, and instructor. For example, if you're interested in enrolling in the WLD-131Y: Single Pitch Instructor Assessment for Spring 2026, ensure to select "Wilderness Studies" under subject, "Spring" under term, and "Smith, N" under Instructors. It's crucial to select the correct term for the course you intend to enroll in.
Filtering The Selection
Adding Courses
Once filters are set, available courses will be displayed on the right side of the page. Click the "View available sections" button below your desired course to proceed. Confirm the term you'd like to enroll in and review grading options and material fees if applicable. Then, select "Add section" to proceed.
Upon selecting "Add section," the page will navigate to the top, where you'll find a highlighted section with an (i) sign. Follow the listed steps and select "Plan & Schedule." Under "Plan & Schedule," you'll find your selected courses listed. Proceed to register for your desired course(s) by selecting the "Register" under the course(s).

Payment & Confirmation
After registering for the course(s), return to the top of the page where you'll find the highlighted section with an (i) sign. Click on "Make a payment" to complete the payment process promptly and secure your spot in the course. Once enrolled, anticipate a welcome email from your instructor as the course approaches.
